Chongqing University of Technology is a key university in Chongqing, and is the only regular higher educational university with war industry background in the southwest region.
The School has focused on improving its ability to lead innovation and development. It has 47 provincial-level scientific research innovation platforms, a national university science park, and an advanced technology research institute. As a national intellectual property pilot university and one of the first batch of the bases for research finding commercialization and technology transfer recognized by the Ministry of Education, it has a national-level science and technology enterprise incubator, 2 national-recorded maker spaces, and 2 municipal-level technology transfer demonstration institutions. And it has built 24 joint laboratories and research centers with scientific research institutions and large-scale enterprises, and 3 of its projects, including GENERTEC Chongqing CNC Machine Tool Research Institute, have entered the Western(Chongqing)Science City.
