"Yunque" High-Altitude Flying Robot
The "Yunque" high-altitude flying robot has the comprehensive ability to "carry a 5 kg scientific research payload, withstand a level 7 gale, and fly at an altitude of 6000 meters for nearly 30 minutes", making it the first scientific research flying robot in China that can adapt to extremely high-altitude environments. The invention of the Yunque robot marks four innovations in terms of new scientific research capabilities: for example, "Auxiliary Guarding of Scientific Research Stations in High-altitude and Antarctic Environments", "Vertical Gradient Data Continuous Quasi-static Data Acquisition", "Glacier Surface Large Scale Continuous Observation" and "Multi-machine Autonomous and Cooperative Remote Ice Disaster Observation in Mountainous Area". With its invention, it also carried out China's (the world's) first robotized high-altitude environmental science research activities, completing a number of science research applications in the 6,000-meter-altitude Kuoqiong Gangri glacier area and 4,730-meter Namucuo lake area, the relevant results of which were reported through videos to Vice-Premier Liu He during the second Qinghai-Tibet scientific expedition technology activity week, contributing to winning the Chinese Association of Automation Award for Science Popularization.
