Chongqing - Chongqing Changan Automobile Co., Ltd. and Chinese tech titan Huawei Technologies Co., Ltd. recently signed a comprehensive and ongoing strategic cooperation framework agreement.

Their collaboration involves digital transformation, computing power centers, cloud services, industrial software, software toolchains, overseas operations, and optical storage charging technology.

Especially in digital transformation, both parties will jointly develop a comprehensive digital transformation plan for Changan based on the concept of New Vehicles, New Ecosystem and establish a change management system to focus on advancements in intelligent technology.

A representative of Changan Automobile said that both Changan and Huawei are leading companies in their respective fields. In the current wave of digitization and electrification, this collaboration will promote the sharing of advantageous resources between the two parties and achieve mutual development.

The two companies have already experienced successful collaboration. For instance, in 2022, the two companies collaborated with Contemporary Amperex Technology Co., Ltd. (CATL) to launch the AVATR 11. Huawei was deeply involved in developing this vehicle's intelligent driving, smart cabin, and application systems.

The three parties jointly established the intelligent electric technology platform, CHN Platform, which is uniquely designed for tram systems and enables the continuous evolution of intelligent capabilities.

Furthermore, Deepal Automobile Technology Co., Ltd., a subsidiary brand under Changan Automobile, signed a cooperation framework agreement with Huawei on August 16. Huawei's intelligent driving and smart cabin strengths will further enhance Deepal's market competitiveness.

Both parties will focus on the field of automotive intelligence and collaborate to advance the research and application of new technologies in the realm of intelligent electric vehicles.

Building upon Changan Automobile's expertise in production, manufacturing, and three electric technologies Battery Management System, Motor Control Unit, and Vehicle Control Unit), Deepal has already introduced two vehicle models, the SL03 and S7, achieving sales exceeding ten thousand units in July.

New energy vehicles represent one of the prime applications for intelligent technology, and the rapidly growing new energy market in China in recent years has accelerated the intense competition in automotive intelligence. Smart technology has become the mainstream focus for global automotive brands in the latter half of the competition.

Prior to this, Changan Automobile achieved notable progress in its journey toward intelligent transformation through collaborations with enterprises such as Huawei, Horizon Robotics, and Tencent. Changan Automobile stated that it will continue to strengthen its collaborations with leading technology companies based on market demand in the next steps.
