During the theme event “Becoming a New Highland for Industrial Internet Innovation”, our correspondents learned that Chongqing is development Industrial Internet Ecosystem by moving faster to attract market entities in sectors including industrial hardware, industrial software, industrial network, and industrial information security.
Chongqing is one of the six traditional industrial giants in China and is equipped with 39 out of 41 industrial categories, thus enjoying a great market potential in developing Industrial Internet. The Top National Node (Chongqing) of Industrial Internet Identity Analysis has been launched and connected to 19 Secondary Nodes. Also home to Xinghuo Network Super Nodes and F-Root Server Instance, Chongqing has become the first city in China equipped with the triple nodes of domain name, identity analysis, and blockchain. 11 out of 15 cross-sector and cross-industry Industrial Internet Platforms are present in Chongqing.
According to the statistics from Chongqing Economic and Information Technology Commission, Chongqing is now home to 197 companies in sectors such as platform services, solutions, and big data services. A large number of key projects, including Geely Industrial Internet Headquarters, have been launched in the city.
In the visit to Tencent Cloud (Chongqing) Industrial Internet Base on July 23rd, our correspondents saw the “future industrial scenario” outlined by the product and solution matrix covering research, production, supply, sales, and services. It can provide enterprises with over 30 products including design and R&D, 3D digital twins, production and sales coordination on supply chains, low-code development, artificial intelligence (AI), and knowledge graphs.
Liu Xiaodong, director of Industrial Internet Product Ecology at Tencent Cloud (Chongqing) Base, told correspondents that the Base will focus on Chongqing’s eight pillar industries of automobiles, electronics, smart equipment, consumption, chemicals, and pharmaceuticals, and organize over 30 partners for cooperation in the ecosystem. By doing so, it will provide enterprises with integrated solutions and technological services for smart manufacturing and help enterprises build their own Industrial Internet platforms. It will also encourage enterprises to join the cloud and Industrial Internet platforms to connect all the links on the industrial chain, supply chain, value chain, and capital chain, and share resources.
With an aim to ensure a key platform for every industry and every region, Chongqing has guided 87,000 companies to join the cloud and Industrial Internet platforms and created a number of innovation platforms such as the 5G Industrial Application Joint Innovation Center to promote the coordination among industries, universities, research institutes, and the market.
Going forward, Chongqing will drive 5G application to expand from peripheral support to core production. It is estimated that, by 2025, Chongqing will be equipped with 30 secondary nodes for Industrial Internet identity analysis, 10 factories with full 5G coverage, and 50 pilot application scenarios for “5G plus Industrial Internet”.
