This agreement represents their commitment to boosting collaboration in intelligent cabins, navigation and mapping, autonomous driving, overseas business ecosystems, and enterprise digital transformation. The objective is to provide comprehensive support for Changan Auto's transition into an intelligent, low-carbon transportation company.

Changan and Tencent have enjoyed a longstanding partnership in the digital sector. They signed a strategic cooperation framework agreement in 2017, and in 2018, they announced the formation of a joint venture called Phoenix Auto Intelligence aimed at developing integrated smart cabins. To date, these products have been incorporated into over 1.1 million Changan vehicles, according to the company. In June 2023, Changan Auto announced its participation in Tencent's large model ecosystem plan, a cooperative exploration of big data models in the automotive industry. The collaboration between Changan and Tencent has yielded more than 100 cooperative products.

This agreement will further deepen the partnership between the two companies. In the realm of intelligent cabins, they will continue to utilize their joint venture, Phoenix Auto Intelligence, to enhance experiences based on map-based city-level digital twins, smart cabins predicated on large models, and AI digital avatars. They will also explore commercial avenues for auto cabin services integrated with mobile ecosystems. The companies will jointly develop next-generation intelligent navigation products in the field of navigation and mapping.

According to Tianyancha, a Chinese corporate information provider, Changan has recently submitted applications to the National Intellectual Property Administration to register three "DeepAI" trademarks. The international classification of these trademarks encompasses scientific instruments, transportation vehicles, and advertising sales, and they are currently in the application process.

Notably, the company had previously applied for an AI trademark in the transportation vehicles category, which is presently listed as "awaiting rejection review." Changan's new energy vehicle brand, a subsidiary of Changan, is known as "DEEPAL."

Reviewing trademark registrations, it's clear that numerous automakers are stepping into the AI business. For example, Guangdong Xiaopeng Motors Technology Co., Ltd. has previously applied to register trademarks such as "XMARTGPT," "XPGPT," and "XGPT."
