One month before the opening of 2021 Smart China Expo (hereinafter referred to as the SCE), in order to create an atmosphere of “Smart Technologies: Empowering Economy, Enriching Life”, showcase the development of industrial Internet in Chongqing, and dig up more vivid examples, on July 23, an omni media interview, organized by the SCE's Office of Organizing Committee, themed “Break a new ground for innovative development of national industrial Internet”, was officially launched.

Our reporter learned that, from July 23 to August 16, the municipal media, CCTV, Xinhua News Agency, Economic Daily and other media will go into the city's industrial Internet platform enterprises to conduct in-depth interviews.

The reporters first came to the Tencent Cloud (Chongqing) Base for Industrial Internet located in the Liangjiang New Area.

Tencent Cloud (Chongqing) Base for Industrial Internet: jointly built by Liangjiang New Area, Tencent and Beiming Digital Technology, it is the first industrial Internet base in southwest China and it was officially operated on April 29 this year.

With the technical advantages and brand influence of Tencent Cloud and Beiming Digital Technology, the base is located at the industrial Internet service hub of Tencent in the southwest region, relying on the advantages of Liangjiang New Area National New Industrialization Base for Industry Demonstration to build “one platform and five centers”.

One platform: Industrial Internet platform.

Five centers: Industrial Internet operation and service center, innovation display and experience center, talent training center, innovation incubation center, and industrial Internet financial service center.

What worth noting is that, the innovation display and experience center adopted technologies like big data, 3d digital twin to display digitalized products and cases that empower companies from R&D, production, supply, sale and service in a multi-dimensional way. The center is open to enterprises in the southwest region and provides professional training guidance based on their needs for digital transformation.

According to Liu Xiaodong, director of product ecology of the Tencent Cloud (Chongqing) Base for Industrial Internet, “The base adopts a localized operation model, continues to focus on enterprise needs, and connects government management and enterprise operations. We are doing this by utilizing the capabilities of industrial Internet platform, innovation display and experience center, local operation team and digital economy ecology, to help transform and upgrade enterprises in digitalization, promotes industrial synergy and industrial and regional economic development.” In the future, the base will focus on Chongqing’s eight pillar industries, including automotive, electronics, intelligent equipment, consumption, chemical and pharmaceutical industries, and organize more than 30 ecological partners with localized service capabilities, using smart manufacturing services and enterprises on cloud as two wheels to better serve enterprises.

Two-wheel-driven strategy

Smart manufacturing services: provide overall solutions and technology services of intelligent manufacturing for enterprises and help them build industrial Internet platforms; form industry-level solutions in automotive, consumer goods, intelligent equipment, industrial software, chemical and pharmaceutical fields.

Enterprises on cloud: once enterprises are on cloud, they can allocate resources and innovate operation models on the cloud platform to achieve resource sharing and linking of the industrial chain, supply chain, value chain, and capital chain so that efficient collaboration of companies and accurate docking of supply and demand can be achieved, thus promoting industrial synergy.

From our knowledge, since the platform went online on April 29, the platform has more than 300 registered users and more than 30 industrial Internet integrated applications.

At the same time, the base will strengthen integration with the government, research institutions, financial and ecological resources, empower enterprises, and to help outstanding enterprises get into the Qianfan and Zhenxuan program (Tencent). The base will promote the full connection of capital, ecology, and industry to facilitate the steady development of the digital industry economy.

The person in charge of the Chongqing branch of the Alliance of Industrial Internet said that, in recent years, Chongqing has seized the window of opportunity of the digital economy, unswervingly promote the innovation of big data and smart technologies, with digital transformation and digital industries as the main direction. Chongqing is to build a synergized application system, with industrial internet and the new generation of information technology as each other’s application background, foundation, and ecology, so that the deep integration between these two can be accelerated.
