Vice Mayor Li Dianxun in the Press Conference

       On August 8, Press Conference on Preparation of SCE 2018 was held in the Information Office of Chongqing Municipal People’s Government where Mr. Li Dianxun, Vice Mayor of Chongqing Municipality revealed relevant information . 

       "As of now, 436 important guests from governments, enterprises, universities and research institutions have confirmed their attendance." According to Vice Mayor Li, the guests invited are from the following communities.

       First, high-level leaders. Ten foreign dignitaries, two leaders of international organizations, 13 leaders from national ministries and commissions, 23 leaders with organizations affiliated to national ministries, 17 leaders from other Chinese provinces, autonomous regions and municipalities, as well as 58 officials in charge of relevant government departments in other Chinese provinces, autonomous regions and municipalities . 

       Second, top experts and entrepreneurs. 35 domestic well-known experts, among which, 23 academicians with Chinese Academy of Sciences and Chinese Academy of Engineering, and 125 entrepreneurs from domestic well-known enterprises will attend the Expo. 

       Third, international community. So far, guests who have confirmed the attendance include 142 foreign participants from 28 countries and regions, accounting for 33% of the total. To name just a few, 19 reputable foreign experts, 33 leaders of well-known foreign enterprises, 43 diplomats from embassies & consulates general in China, and 49 officials from international sister cities of Chongqing have confirmed participation. 

       In addition, Singapore and the Republic of Korea(ROK), as the guest countries of honor, will jointly host forums, exhibitions, outcome presentations and publicity activities to pursue substantial and fruitful bilateral cooperation.
