Chongqing – According to the second press conference of the 2019 Smart China Expo, or SCE 2019 on August 12,  388 distinguished guests have confirmed their attendance and 843 companies have registered for the exhibition as of now, with registrations open for signing up. The event to be held in Southwest China’s Chongqing Municipality on August 26 covers an area of 210,000 square meters and includes 46 forums and eight contests.

2018 Smart China Expo 

A high-level expo with more guests and broader coverage

Up to now, 388 distinguished guests have confirmed their attendance, covering a wide range of fields including politics, business, industries, education and R&D, 249 more guests compared with the same period last year.

Moreover, Singapore, the United Kingdom, and Italy are to be the guests of honor of SCE2019. Foreign guests are from 49 countries and regions.

One hundred twenty-eight well-known scholars in the field of global big data intelligence have confirmed their participation, including 13 Nobel Prize winners, four Turing Awards winners, two Fields Medal winners, and six international organizations (institutions) heads, and 52  well-known academicians at home and abroad.

14 exhibition pavilions covering an area of 210,000 square meters

843 companies from 28 countries and regions have confirmed their exhibition at SCE2019, 306 more than SCE2018.

At present, 210,000 square meters indoor exhibition area will be set up, divided into 14 pavilions in Chongqing International Expo Center. The exhibition highlights its science and technology features, visitor’s participation and interaction, and a vast exhibition area, smart manufacturing exhibition area, smart application exhibition area, smart technology and product exhibition area, regional innovation exhibition area as well as a standard exhibition area, contest area and outdoor experience area.

In addition, during the 2019 Smart China Expo there will be 4 new outdoor smart life experience areas, namely the Yuelai Smart Life Experience Center, the Lijia Smart Ecology City in Liangjiang New Area, Xiantao Smart Transportation Demonstration Area in Yubei District, and Intelligent Technology Experience Area at Intelligence Valley (Chongqing) in Nan’an District.

Forums and contests to showcase innovation

A series of high-level and innovative activities in the forms of summits, exhibitions, competitions, and discussions during the 2019 Smart China Expo will take place with the topic on digital industrialization and the digital application in industry.

In addition to the Opening ceremony and the Big Data and Smart Technology Summit, there will be 46 forums of different topics during the 2019 Smart China Expo, including 7 themed conferences such as the 1^st Annual Meeting of Chongqing Advisory Committee on Strategic Development of Big Data and Smart Technology, the 2^nd Mayors’ Roundtable for International Sister Cities of Chongqing and Business Summit, the Global Digital Economy Summit and the International Cooperation Conference on Digital Silk Road, etc.

The industry-renowned experts and corporate leaders are invited to share the experience and vision of smart city construction with a global perspective and discuss topics such as 5G, artificial intelligence, industrial Internet, new trends in digital applications, and digital silk road construction, etc.

There will also be a number of parallel sessions for participants to exchange cutting-edge technical achievements, have in-depth discussion on human-computer interaction, big data, and the extensive application of artificial intelligence in smart manufacturing, smart healthcare, smart education, social governance, blockchain, etc. and explore the new world created by smart technology in the modern life.

Fuller services to guarantee the success of the Expo

As the permanent site for SCE, Chongqing attaches great importance to ensure the best services of the Expo. In terms of publicity, the press release center will continue to be set up to release the results of the meeting promptly. In terms of guest reception, a “one-on-one” service plan and a series of personalized reception programs were formulated. In terms of volunteering, we have recruited 1,200 volunteers, equipped with medical, fire prevention, food safety, and other professionals, set up full-service stations, and guarantee fuller services for all parties with enthusiasm.

During the Expo, 5G, face recognition, smart navigation of exhibition halls, AI consulting services, smart air purification of exhibition halls and other smart conference services will be fully utilized to cover online and offline channels, virtual and reality, and attract the general public to participate and experience the event. We will further strengthen the transportation organization and enhance the comprehensive services of accommodation and meals and will arrange pick-ups and send-offs at airport and railway stations.
