Release:ichongqing Time:2019-08-27 18:46:06

Recently, the fire-fighting robots independently developed and manufactured by Chongqing Sevnce Technology Co., Ltd. were officially released to the market. The robots, capable of assisting firefighters at temperatures up to 1,000°C, will also be unveiled at 2019 Smart China Expo.

The robot is under testing

It is the first type of fire-fighting robot independently developed in Chongqing, with a length of 1.416m, and a width of 0.988m, the height of 1.1m and the weight of 650kg, they can replace firefighters to work in high-temperature, explosive, toxic, anoxic and other high-risk environments and help firefighters comprehensively know what happened in fire scenes through use of their high-definition cameras.

“The robot can also help firefighters immensely reduce manual work. For instance, one robot can tow a fire hose in place of ten firefighters,” said Zhu Dong, President of Sevnce. He added that the fire-fighting robot also has some smart functions, such as automatically identifying fire sources in complex and dangerous environments, adjusting the faucet injection angle based on fire source, carrying out rescues by cooperating with other robots and so on.

Zhu Dong held that this type of fire-fighting robots would foray into artificial intelligence (AI). A backend database will also be built to collect feedback from robots, as well as to optimize fire-fighting strategies.

Sevnce has signed contracts valuing 100 million RMB until now and is slated to deliver 136 fire-fighting robots this year. “We mainly render services to emergency-rescue organizations.” Zhu Dong added that they had signed cooperation agreements with the fire brigades of Shapingba, Dadukou, Jiangjin, and other districts. “Sevnce will expand its production capacity and operate the robot assembly factory in Changshou next year with annual yield reaching 4,000 robots.”

“Apart from fire-fighting robots, we are working on such specialized robots as patrol inspection, riot control, and underwater detection.” Zhu Dong introduced that Sevnce is also enhancing cooperation with Chongqing University, Chongqing University of Posts and Telecommunications and other universities in the fields of visual recognition and communication technology, in a bid to promote the transformation of related technological results.
