Chongqing – Smart China Expo 2019 wrapped up on August 29. During the four-day event, there were exhibitions, forums, competitions, signings, presenting great achievements.

There were 15 important deputy ministers and above to participate in this Smart China Expo from eight foreign governments and international organizations. Meanwhile, 173 foreign companies took part in the exhibition. According to the organizer, eight international events attracted 21 countries and regions, 415 foreign teams, and players to compete. Moreover, three guest countries of honor, the United Kingdom, Singapore, and Italy have carried out a series of special activities around the theme.

Focusing on the Usage of Business, People, and Politics, Smart China Expo 2019 attracted 28 countries and regions and 843 companies to come together, with the number of enterprises increased by 57%. Two hundred ten thousand square meters’ exhibition area presented more than 1,000 ultramodern products, technologies, and solutions.

In addition, high-end intelligent equipment such as a smart track system, NEXO autonomous driving hydrogen fuel cell vehicle, real-time 3D experience in a virtual city, and so on, refreshed the exhibition experience. The global intelligent frontier technology is concentrated here, making Smart China Expo a leading source of global intelligence.

Besides, 139 academic leaders, such as the Nobel Prize winner in physics Konstantin Novoselov, 215 industry leaders in the field of big data intelligence in domestic and abroad, and other masters and elites from related businesses, industries, or manufacturing, stayed in Chongqing for four days to share ideas. The high-level discussion helps Chongqing to develop and promote the big data and intelligence of the city.

At Smart China Expo 2019, big competitions such as the Second International Drones Race Grand Prix and i-VISITA Grand Challenge (autonomous driving competition) will gradually gain traction and form a recognized brand.

More than 100 various events were launched in the same period, releasing the new technologies, products, formats, and models in the field of big data intelligence. The brand of the Smart China Expo is becoming mature. Moreover, Chongqing actively establishes a reliable publishing platform for the industry. In the meantime, it released about 20 new standards and new indexes for 5G, artificial intelligence, industrial Internet and other sectors, and released theGlobal Network of Action for the Future for the first time.

There were guests from 56 countries and regions, leaders of 13 national ministries and commissions, and seven leaders from relevant provinces, municipalities, and autonomous regions attended the conference during Smart China Expo 2019. At the scene, 89 major projects were signed, and more than 600 contracted projects were negotiated on and off the site. All projects cover smart industries, smart manufacturing, and smart cities.

More than 400 representatives from the political and business circles from more than 40 countries and regions around the world have jointly discussed the digital silk road cooperation plan, promoting the high-quality development of the Belt and Road. Also, 12 government departments, professional organizations and enterprise representatives from 5 countries signed on-site contracts, covering areas such as artificial intelligence, big data, industry 4.0, digital trade, and so on.
