Taohuayuan Scenic Area of Youyang County, Chongqing

Endowed with unique natural resources, the Taohuayuan Scenic Area of Youyang, Chongqing is a degraded sinkhole that dates back to 300 million years ago, which includes a sinkhole, a karst cave, and a subterranean river. Themed by culture from the Qin and Jin dynasties, the scenic area is mainly designed with idyllic scenery and relevant stories. For the tourists, through the accurate simulation of life scenes at the ancient times and the interpretation of culture back then, it reflects “the people, customs, culture and the social landscape of the Qin Dynasty” in an all-around way and imitates a land of idyllic beauty, where men do farm work while women engage in sewing and weaving and all people live a secluded, quiet, and harmonious pastoral life. The core area of the Youyang Taohuayuan Scenic Area is composed of the Taigu Cave and the Xanadu.
