Chongqing Nanchuan Jinfo Mountain Scenic Area

Jinfo Mountain, known as Jiudi Mountain in ancient China, is the main peak of the Dalou Mountains, with the highest Fengchui Peak reaching an altitude of 2,238.2 meters. Jinfo Mountain covers an area of 1,300 square kilometers, including a planned scenic area of 441 square kilometers and a core scenic area of 70 square kilometers. Jinfo Mountain was honored as a national 5A-level tourist attraction in September 2013 and got inscribed on the list of the World Natural Heritage on June 23, 2014.

Hailed as the “Most Admirable Table Mountain in China”, Jinfo Mountain takes pride in its ice & snow tourism resources in Southern China and first-class conditions for summer vacation & wellness services in Chongqing. With 8,085 kinds of animals and plants explored (including 4,180 kinds of medical plants), it is known as a “Biogene Bank” and “Chinese Medicine Storehouse”. In addition, it has a well-known temple for worshiping the Dīpankara Buddha, boasting a time-honored history of the Buddhist culture. A place for appreciating alpine azaleas in spring, enjoying the cool resort in summer, viewing trees dressed in different colors in autumn, and touring the south snowfield in winter, Jinfo Mountain is a tourist resort available for sightseeing all the year round.
