At the same time, the information in the design and construction stages is seamlessly used in the operation and maintenance management to improve the management level of the whole life cycle of the project, ensure the construction period, reduce costs, reduce waste, and maximize the benefits of asset operation.

Since April 2018, the main leaders of the Chongqing Railway Group have personally deployed and planned to explore the application of digital construction management based on BIM. Based on the technical policy of "unified leadership, unified planning, unified standards, unified resources, and unified management", and following the technical standards of "advanced, mature, economic, applicable, and reliable", a digital construction and management plan for the whole life cycle of express line network based on BIM with the goal of the operation has been formulated, and BIM technology has been compiled and issued. Strengthen the digital dynamic management of project progress, investment, safety, quality, and other aspects, establish the BIM + construction and management application collaboration center of the express line, gather the strength of all participating units, and comprehensively promote the visual project management based on BIM, the information management of land acquisition, demolition and pipeline relocation based on GIS technology, and the safety based on intelligent site construction. Continuously improve the quality and management level of urban express line construction, and strive to explore the application path of BIM application + enterprise informatization + GIS (geographic information system) in the whole life cycle of the project.
