Xi'an Geely Automobile Co., Ltd. (hereinafter referred to as "Xi'an Geely") was established on August 5, 2017. It is a vehicle production base invested and constructed by Zhejiang Geely Holding Group. The base is located in the Jingwei New City of Xi'an Economic and Technological Development Zone, with a total investment of RMB7.879 billion. It covers an area of 2,260 mu (including 1,634 mu of factory land, 440 mu of finished vehicle parking lot, and 186 mu of living area; excluding 885 mu of component land). The construction area exceeds 700,000 square meters. The planned annual production capacity is 100,000 vehicles. With the support of Geely Automobile's most advanced CMA and SEA platforms and cutting-edge technology, it has become a digital, automated, intelligent and flexible production base, creating highly competitive new products. Xi'an Geely's production line and manufacturing system fully comply with EU standards. It is currently the largest vehicle production base of Geely Automobile Group in terms of land area, with the highest investment, most advanced products and technology as well as the highest degree of intelligence, and it is also a 4.0 factory. Moreover, through advanced layouts in areas such as the Internet+, carbon neutrality, and intelligent manufacturing, Xi'an Geely has received multiple honors such as "National Zero Carbon Factory", "National Green Factory", and "National High-Tech Enterprise". It is a well-known super-intelligent "Dark Factory" in the industry.
1. Smart factory
The factory is based on the 5G+ industrial internet platform, combined with ERP, MES, LES, QNS and other information systems. It utilizes intelligent manufacturing equipment such as AGV and intelligent industrial robots to implement the "intelligent, transparent, agile" concept throughout the entire production process. It can achieve 100% automation in stamping, welding and painting, responding quickly to production processes, quality control and equipment failures and making timely optimization. It is a pilot unit for the construction of Qinchuangyuan "incubator, accelerator and facilitator" platform in Xi'an Economic and Technological Development Zone.
2. Zero carbon factory
The factory's advanced layout for energy conservation and emissions reduction at the production end, technology end, management end, product end and recycling end demonstrates outstanding performance in sustainable development. In November 2022, Xi'an Geely was selected as one of the 2022 Annual Industry Cases of the APEC China CEO Forum "Sustainable Industrial Development Action of China", making it the only selected automobile manufacturing company and the first zero-carbon factory of a Chinese automaker.
3. Green factory
Leveraging advanced production processes, Xi'an Geely achieves "three zeros" in the entire product manufacturing cycle: zero wastewater discharge, zero waste landfill and zero harmful emissions. In February 2023, it was approved to be a "National Green Factory".
4. Multi-brand production
The Xi'an Geely factory can simultaneously produce multiple brand models under Geely, and it is the sole global production base for "Smart" pure electric vehicles. With a flexible layout and advanced human-machine engineering design, the Xi'an Geely factory has outstanding capabilities to simultaneously produce gasoline, hybrid and pure electric vehicles, covering six models.
5. Platform-based vehicle manufacturing
Relying on the high flexibility and extensibility of Geely Automobile's CMA and SEA platforms, the Xi'an Geely factory truly realizes modular vehicle manufacturing based on two platforms. Platform-based manufacturing significantly enhances vehicle safety and quality stability, ensuring that every Xi'an Geely product can meet the highest quality standards.
