In September 2021, Changan of China officially launched its chassis industry transformation and upgrade project. After 14 months, in November 2022, CHANGE was registered and established.
Currently, CHANGE has invested RMB5 billion in the research and development of intelligent automotive chassis systems, establishing a research and development layout with headquarters plus three centers respectively in Chongqing, Shanghai and Chengdu. It has developed 19 core braking technologies, 15 core steering technologies, and 9 core automotive lightweight technologies for industrial applications. It has completed the industrial layout of four bases including "Lighthouse Factory" of Western Science City of Chongqing, Chengdu, Sichuan Province, Ya'an, Sichuan Province and Nanjing, Jiangsu Province, and formed the full-scene service capability meeting the braking, steering, suspension, lightweight and chassis integration of intelligent vehicles. In the future, we will increase investment in research and development, continuously develop more scientific and technological innovations applied in automobile manufacturing, and provide users with high-quality, intelligent and safe control-by-wire chassis products.
