Founded in 1980, China Software and Technology Service Co., Ltd. (CS&S), as a large-scale high-tech listed company under CEC, is the core enterprise of China's electronic network security sector. It undertakes the responsibility and mission of "National Team of Software Industry" and possesses top-level qualifications in information security integration service (Class I) and other industries. It is a national enterprise technology center and a national innovation demonstration enterprise and established the CS&S Postdoctoral Research Station in November 2000. It has won awards such as the most influential enterprise in China's software industry for many consecutive years, and won the "National May Day Labor Award" in 2022. Since 2011, CS&S has built a relatively complete independent security software product chain covering operating systems, middleware, security products and application systems around the construction of digital government, digital economy and digital society, covering important areas of national economy such as taxation, party and government, transportation, intellectual property, finance, energy, letters and visits, industry and commerce, and public utilities. It has played an important information supporting role in the 70th anniversary of the founding of the People's Republic of China, the centenary of the founding of the Party, the Beijing Winter (Paralympic) Olympic Games and other major events, and has actively contributed to the modernization of the national governance system and governance capacity. According to IDC China 2021 and 2022 data, CS&S ranks first among digital government product suppliers.
