Prof. Ouyang Minggao Academician Workstation is a platform of technological innovation，achievement transfer and transformation for the team of Academician Ouyang Minggao to deepen the cooperation between the government, industry, university and research under the major strategic support of "double-wheel drive of industrial development" of Yibin Municipal Party Committee and Municipal Government. Based on the Academician Workstation, Sichuan New Energy Vehicle Innovation Center is established to build a scientific and technological innovation platform and industrial ecosystem of new energy vehicles with deep integration in the economic circle of Chengdu and Chongqing and promote regional scientific and technological progress and development of strategic emerging industries.

Through the development of key technologies, the introduction of innovation and entrepreneurship teams, the implementation of achievement transformation and incubation, the Innovation Center cooperates with the technological innovation forces of new energy vehicles in Sichuan and Chongqing to form a technological innovation network that meets the major needs of industrial innovation and has international and domestic influence and competitiveness, conquers and transforms a batch of industrial frontiers and common key technologies, and completes high-level research achievements and industry applications, and builds a national major achievement transformation base, innovation & entrepreneurship and school-enterprise joint R & D bases of well-known institutions such as Tsinghua University, innovative technology demonstration project and innovative talent practice training demonstration base so as to become an open and professional new R&D institution or innovation center above provincial level, and build a new energy automobile innovation platform with world advanced technology level and industry influence.

The Innovation Center has established a team of more than 180 innovative talents, including 10 doctors, 60 masters and 10 high-level experts. It has obtained more than 110 authorized patents, and the laboratory has obtained CMA qualification certification. It also has established and participated in the construction of more than 10 provincial and municipal innovation R&D platforms such as Sichuan Advanced Power Technology Innovation Center for New Energy Vehicles. Focusing on the battery cells with high specific energy and high safety, the Innovation Center concentrates on promoting the industrialization process of high-safety semi-solid batteries and core materials taking into account the existing production line and tackling the difficulties of the next generation of all-solid-state batteries and key technologies, which has produced a series of original major scientific research and industrialization achievements.
