Chongqing Urban Comprehensive Transportation Hub Group (hereinafter referred to as the Transportation Hub Group) was established in 2006 and was named the Station Group at that time. In 2009, it was merged into Chongqing Transportation Development and Investment Group. The Transportation Hub Group is a key state-owned enterprise of Chongqing and is responsible for the construction of large-scale comprehensive transportation hubs, central urban bus stations, and first and last stations. At present, the total assets of the group amount to 29.2 billion yuan, the property management area exceeds 3.5 million square meters, and the staff team exceeds 1,000 people. It has 6 fully owned subsidiaries and 2 joint ventures.
In recent years, the transportation hub group has thoroughly implemented the decision-making and deployment requirement of the municipal committee, the municipal government, and Chongqing City Transportation Development and Investment Group, concentrating on the four main businesses of investment and construction, comprehensive development, asset management, and property management, and practicing three missions – TOD comprehensive development, the pioneer of market-oriented operation reform, and the new force construction of key projects at the forefront. The company prioritized the first high-speed rail with TOD project implemented across the country – Shapingba Railway Comprehensive Hub, and a pilot project for the integration of stations and cities in a national transportation power – the construction and development of Chongqindong Railway Station. It also undertakes the land consolidation task of nearly 8,000 mu at the Jiuli Village of the High-tech Zone. Also, 69 bus stations and 116 rail and bus transfer stations in the central urban area of Chongqing have been put into use to enhance people's happiness, satisfaction and security when traveling.
