The college offers a total of 38 majors, including 2 major groups for track and railway. Since its establishment, the school has trained more than 20,000 full-time graduates and more than 1,000 international students from countries along the Belt and Road Initiative. More than 60% of graduates have worked for the transportation industry and large state-owned enterprises. 

The college is a recognized training institution for China Railway Chengdu Group as well as a national demonstration site for faculty education and training. The school-enterprise collaborative innovation achievements have won the first prize of Chongqing Teaching Achievement for two consecutive years. In 2015, Zhang Dejiang, the former Politburo Standing Committee member and chairman of the NPC Standing Committee, visited the college and affirmed the achievements of school-enterprise collaboration. 

The school has a shared training base between national urban railway and high-speed railway technology. It was selected as a pilot unit for professional cooperation on the integration of production and education in the field of transportation, and the Institute for Innovative Design of China Industrial Design Association by the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology. Hence, the college established an intelligent transportation research institute. Also, it was the first batch of craftsman college in our city, vocational school that pilots the new apprenticeship system of enterprises and is rewarded with the Chongqing May Day Labor Award.
